Voyage Planning Tips for Day Trips

  1. Plan to depart 30 minutes before sunset.
  2. Multiply your planned travel time by 10 knots to estimate your travel distance.
  3. This gives you the distance (in nautical miles) you can expect to cover if you maintain that speed and return to port on time.
  4. Use this distance along with the table above to maximize sightseeing within your available time.
  5. Repeat this planning process for each trip, varying your routes, activities, and passenger interactions as much as possible.
